Summary

Timio is designed as a local-first app. The business data you enter in Timio is stored on your device by default.

Timio does not require account creation, login, or cloud sync in the current version. Timio does not operate a custom backend server for storing your business records.

Data stored on your device

Timio may store the following data locally on your device when you enter, import, or create it in the app:

  • company and business profile details
  • customers, including names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, and notes
  • contact details imported by the user as customer records
  • items, products, services, prices, VAT settings, categories, and internal notes
  • jobs, site notes, measurements, planning dates, and job status
  • job photos and related captions
  • quotes, invoices, receipts, payments, statements, and line items
  • document numbers, prefixes, terms, notes, totals, discounts, VAT, and statuses
  • company logo files
  • language, onboarding, subscription, and app preference settings
  • generated PDFs, CSV files, ZIP exports, and temporary files used for sharing or exporting

Contacts permission

Timio may request access to your contacts if you use the contact import feature.

Contacts permission is used to help you import contact details as customer records. This can include names, phone numbers, and email addresses.

Contact import is optional. Timio reads contacts only for the customer import feature. Imported contact details may be stored locally in Timio as customer records.

Timio does not upload your contacts to Thomas Moudouros Ltd servers.

Files, PDFs, and exports

Timio can generate PDFs, CSV files, ZIP files, and other business exports.

These files remain on your device unless you choose to preview, open, save, export, email, or share them using another app.

When you share a PDF, CSV, ZIP, email, customer contact action, phone action, or map action, the selected data may be handled by the app or service you choose to share it with. Timio does not control how third-party apps handle data after you share it.

Google Play Billing

Timio may offer a paid Timio Pro subscription through Google Play Billing.

Payments are processed by Google Play. Timio does not process or store your payment card details.

Timio may store limited subscription information locally, such as product ID, purchase token, entitlement status, and last verification time, to manage access to Timio Pro features.

Support emails

If you contact support at [email protected], we will receive the email address you use and any information you choose to include in your message.

Do not send sensitive business, customer, or financial information by email unless necessary.

Data sharing

Timio does not sell your data.

Timio does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or cloud sync in the current version.

Data may leave your device only in these cases:

  • you choose to share, export, open, email, or save a file or document
  • you use another app for email, phone, maps, file preview, or sharing
  • you use the optional contact import feature and save selected contact details locally as customer records
  • Google Play Billing processes subscription purchases or subscription status
  • you contact Timio support by email
  • Android system backup backs up or restores app data depending on your device and Google backup settings

Android backup

Timio may be included in Android system backup if backup is enabled on your device. This is controlled by Android and your Google account/device backup settings.

Data deletion

Timio does not create user accounts in the current version, so there is no Timio account to delete.

You can delete many local records inside the app, such as customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, job photos, and items where supported.

You can also delete Timio from your device. Uninstalling the app generally removes local app data from the device, although Android backup may restore app data depending on your device backup settings.

Files that you exported, saved, emailed, or shared outside Timio may remain wherever you saved or shared them.

Security

Timio stores app data locally on your device. You are responsible for protecting your device with appropriate security settings, such as screen lock, device encryption, and account protection.

Google Play Billing communications are handled by Google Play.

Children

Timio is intended for contractors, freelancers, tradespeople, and small service businesses. It is not intended for children.
