Weather-compensated control of a mixed heating circuit
SOREL MHCC is a heating-circuit controller for a circuit with a mixing valve and heat request. Its role differs from a solar differential controller such as STDC.
Match the hydraulic and electrical arrangement
Send the heat-source model, mixer and pump details, sensor positions and existing wiring diagram. The manufacturer lists PT1000 inputs and compatibility with °CALEON, RC20 and RC21 room controls. Compatibility with a boiler or heat pump still requires checking the equipment's required signal and the controller's wiring instructions.
The manufacturer lists three 230 V relay outputs and a PWM or 0–10 V output for modulating burner control. It does not list a volt-free relay output. Do not treat a switched-live output as a dry-contact heat request.
Connectivity requires the correct accessories
The manufacturer lists CAN connectivity for SOREL Connect. Ethernet access and microSD logging are listed via a Datalogger, not as built-in MHCC connections. Confirm the required accessory, controller version and connection arrangement before specifying monitoring.
MHCC is not listed for an unmixed heating circuit, cooling or domestic-hot-water control. Where the project needs those functions, review a different controller or complete control design.
